How to submit E-Credit Note (single & bulk)?

E-Credit Note submission applies when a business issues a credit note to make adjustments to a previously validated e-invoice. While LHDN does not impose a strict deadline for credit note submission, it is strongly recommended to submit it as soon as the credit note is created. 


⚠️  Note: A credit note can only be submitted once the original invoice has been validated by LHDN, as the invoice serves as a reference for the adjustment. 


You can perform submissions either one-by-one or in bulk. Refer to the step-by-step guides below: 


To Submit a Single E-Credit Note: 

  1. Go to the E-Invoice module from the sidebar. 

  2. You will land on the Invoice Submission Preview page, then click on the “Credit Note Data” tab. 

  3. Locate the credit note you wish to submit and click the 3 dots under Action. 

  4. Select “Submit E-Credit Note”. 

  5. Click “Yes” on the confirmation modal. 


To Submit Multiple E-Credit Notes in Bulk: 

  1. Go to the E-Invoice module from the sidebar. 

  2. You will land on the Invoice Submission Preview page, then click on the “Credit Note Data” tab. 

  3. Select the checkboxes of the credit notes you want to submit. 

  4. Click the “Submit E-Credit Note” button located beside the date picker. 

  5. Click “Yes” on the confirmation modal. 


When you click "Submit E-Credit Note", the system sends your credit notes to LHDN for processing. On the Submission Preview page, you will see an E-Credit Note Date & Time for each credit note. It shows the exact time the system submitted the e-credit note to LHDN.


LHDN requires all e-credit notes to be submitted within a technical 72-hour window, so the system uses this E-Credit Note Date & Time as the “Credit Note Issue Date” during the submission process.


It does not change your original credit note issue date in the Invoice module. It is important because this process ensures that:

  • Your original credit note details stay exactly the same.

  • The submission follows LHDN’s technical rules.

  • You can easily see when each e-credit note was actually submitted.


You will receive a notification once validation results are returned either from the system (issues found during review) or from LHDN (either validated or rejected), visible on the system dashboard. 


Notes: 

  • If any submission is rejected, the centre must resolve the issue and resubmit as soon as possible to ensure proper compliance and accurate records.
