How to Enable Low Credit Balance Notifications for Students?

Modified on Thu, 6 Mar at 5:57 PM

Ensuring that you’re always aware of a student’s low credit balance can help keep things running smoothly. With the Low Credit Balance Notification feature, both guardians and admins/superadmins are alerted when a student's credit balance is running low, allowing for timely action to prevent any interruptions. Notifications are sent via the web version for admins and superadmins, while guardians will receive push notifications through the mobile app.

Here’s a simple guide on how to enable the Low Credit Balance Notification:

Steps to Enable Low Credit Balance Notification:

  1. Click on the profile icon in the top-right corner of your screen.

  2. From the dropdown menu, select Settings.

  3. Under School Settings, find Notification Settings and select Admin or Super Admin Notifications.

  4. Tick the box that says “Enable on student's credit balance when running low.”

  5. You can choose the specific balance level at which notifications will be sent. For example, if you set the threshold to “2”, both admins/superadmins and guardians will receive a low credit balance reminder when the student's balance reaches or less than 2.

For Admins/Superadmins:

Once you’ve received the notification about the low credit balance, simply click on it. This will direct you to the Student’s Package & Credit > List of Credit Wallets page where you’ll find a list of credit wallets that match or fall below the set balance threshold.

Additional Information:

Active Credit Wallets Only: The low credit balance reminder will only apply to students with an Active credit wallet.

What Happens If You Disable the Reminder:

  • Admins/Superadmins: If you untick the reminder option, admins/superadmins will no longer receive low credit balance notifications.

  • Guardians/Students: If you untick the reminder option, they will still receive notifications in the mobile app, but the threshold will follow the credit threshold set by the system default, which is equal to or less than 2 credits.
