How to Enable Lesson Reminder Notification?

The Lesson Reminder Notifications feature helps you keep guardians informed about their students' upcoming lesson schedules, making sure students don’t miss their classes. These notifications can be sent via email and push notifications on the mobile app, and guardians will receive them based on the system's scheduled notification time.

Here’s how you can easily enable Lesson Reminder Notifications for your school:

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Click on the profile icon located in the top-right corner of the screen.

2. From the dropdown menu, select Settings.

3. Under School Settings, go to Notification Settings and then Email Notification Settings.

4. Tick the box next to: "Enable on upcoming lesson reminder."

5. Choose the day(s) you’d like to send the reminder, set the time, and select the appropriate time zone for the reminder. 

Once you’ve enabled the lesson reminder notifications, Guardians will begin receiving these notifications based on the conditions below:

Who Will Receive Lesson Reminders?

• Active Enrollment: Only students with an active enrollment (not in a frozen period) on the scheduled lesson day will receive reminders.

• Active Credits: Students must have active Universal Credits or a Credit package during the system starts sending lesson reminder and on the scheduled lesson day to receive reminders.

• Replacement Requests:

  • Pending: If the replacement request is still pending on the day of the scheduled lesson, the student will only receive a reminder for the original lesson when the system starts to send the notification.

  • Rejected: If the replacement request has been rejected, no reminder will be sent for the replacement lesson, only for the original lesson.

  • Approved: If the replacement request is approved before the system starts to send the reminder, they will receive a reminder for the replacement lesson.

• Approved Bookings: Students with approved bookings on the scheduled lesson day will receive reminders. If the booking is rejected, canceled, or pending, they will not receive a reminder.

Additional Notes:

Unticking the reminder option: If you untick the option, no lesson reminder notifications will be sent to the guardian’s email or the mobile app.

Holiday Settings:

• Continue Lessons but Cancel Selected Lessons: The system will send reminders for all lessons except the canceled ones.

• Cancel Lessons but Continue Selected Lessons: The system will only send reminders for the lessons that are continuing and not for canceled ones.
